 AN ACCOLADE TO THE GREAT DANMASANIN KANO. AMBASSADOR YUSUF MAITAMA SULE (OFR)

Before, I decided to keep mute on the trending issue of  immortalizing the great Dan masanin Kano by renaming Northwest University Kano to Yusuf Maitama Sule University, because I never expect any negative comment against it not to talk of organizing unpopular demonstration, but it deemed necessary for me as a political and social commentator to share my own  point of view in respect to what has becoming the subject matter in Kano. It is really a shame for people of kano particularly the so called students that organized illegal demonstration either out of ignorance or they might be hired and sponsored to demonstrate against the renaming of their university as a befitting tribute to the elder statesman. To me this gesture would ought to be done long before during his lifetime, and the renaming of  university alone after Maitama's name is not only enough considering his monumental achievements as a bonafide indigene of Kano State, this is because even non indegenes  are honoured in Kano, people like Colonel Muhammadu Abdullahi Wase, former military Governor who spent  only 3 years in Kano was honoured and immortallized have State Polytechnic, Specialists Hospital and main road inside Kano city all bearing his name. Colonel Ibrahim Taiwo Road, Olusegun Obasanjo Road, Prince Abubakar Audu underpass etc etc.

However if the above people could received recognition in Kano what about Maitama Sule who is the original son of the soil with positive track record throughout his lifetime?

 It is pertinent to have an insight about who the man Dan masani was for the benefit of doubt especially to the so called university students and other people that only knows Maitama by name.  Ambassador Dr Yusuf Maitama Sule, Dan masanin Kano was a real hero,  the great man of our time, the true nationalist struggler, a man of personable character, intense knowledge, good humor, oratorial skill and wonderful voice with outstanding eloquence. He was among the few remaining symbols of the golden era of Nigeria, the man with great sense of patriotism, who was throughout his lifetime consider the welfare of all, and always places much priority on people's needs over his own personal interest. The late Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Sule is far ahead beyond reasonable doubt to the people of kano in particular, Arewa and Nigera as a whole. Maitama Sule was the long serving minister of petroleum resources who doesn't posses any oil blog neirther he got even a petroleum tanker not to talk of filing station, A generous man who in the course of serving the public decided to accept an appointment lower than his calibre and status, he was appointed as state Commissioner in Kano after serving the position of Minister of the whole country, an incident that would be difficult to happen in the contemporary political era particularly from politicians of this time. The late Maitama got all the opportunities to enrich himself  but choosed to be modest and level headed person, it was his decency that made him to became simple, enviable, popular and famous not only in Nigeria but Maitama was known all over the world particularly when it comes to diplomatic relations. His great achievement was the role he played in calling the diverse people of nigeria to be united and desist from ethno religious bigotry and worked to make the country united.  

His firm ideal and nature of spoken the truth in front of everyone is what make him to be respected by all and sundry in Nigeria, his burial and condolence was among the greatest among others where most prominent people from every nooks and  crannies of Nigeria and beyond trooped to Kano to show their heartfelt over the great lost. The late Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Sule Dan Masanin Kano was the man of every time, a grandfather, father and a friend of all who spent his time serving the masses right from his school age up to the time he answered a true call. His last appointment was a permanent member in the United Nation. He was a philanthropist and reputable person who until his demise remained an important figure in the society.

The news of his demise broke out  Monday morning, 3rd July 2016, a story that seriously shocked many people and government in Nigeria and beyond. What make me amazed was how some people are shamelessly opposing the honor accorded to this great national hero by Kano State Government. Even the decision by Kano state government to set aside Tueday 4th July to be work free day was unjustifiably opposed by some people for what I consider as gross selfishness and greediness. However, the renaming of Northwest University Kano after his name is the first among many deserving reputations as a reciprocal to his selfless services to humanity. I hope the Federal Government will emulate this gesture done by Kano State to honour the late Yusuf Maitama Sule, he deserve to be honoured with his portrait on Nigerian currency as done to Balewa, Zik, awolowo, Sardauna and the rest.

First of all let me send my warmly welcome to you Sir on your returning home safely after spending 49 days on medical vacation in United Kingdom, I pray this will enable you to fully recuperate and become more stronger to face your usual responsibilities diligently. I decide to use this medium to express my ineffable happiness and to offer some useful adviceand suggestions with regard to your medical vacation as well as your position as a President and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria. Your Excellency Sir, it is often said that ‘the greatpower of bad events over good ones is found in every day events’. However, During your vacation a lot of good, bad and ugly thingshad happenedwithin and outside the government circle and some appear to be exposed to your notice and also became widely known to the general public,others still remain unrevealed. It is clear that the so called wailers/political opponents are busy disseminating unscrupulous andfabricated information in respect to your ailment surrounding the polity particularly on social media, and at the same time good people of Nigeria are putting more hope and confidence on you and they were heartily praying for your quick recovery.

Your Excellency, while you were away, I was so surprised with some happenings that took place in less than 2 months. Firstly, the long anticipated exchange rate adjustment came to limelight,where the naira/dollar conversion was infavour of our indigenous currency which eventually reduces the rate of economic and social hardship associated with exchange rate. Therefore it will be highly desirable if the trend will be sustained to the benefit of the entire citizens, I am optimistic that you would find out what actually made the exchange rate a little bid viable during your short stay in London as against the previous time.

Secondly, it is obvious that for long, the shameful acts of pipeline vanderlisation became order of the day and also remain most critical challenge to your government, the perpetrators are just doing it with the aim of stealing crude oil and disallowing its free movement, their hidden motives were geared towards sabotaging the effort of government, and their actions brought dissatisfaction to the entire nation which also paved way for huge economic and social losses like shortage in petroleum products as well as decrease in the electricity supply which further compounded into problem oflow standard of living to the entire citizens. But fortunately enough Sir, in your absent no amount of damage was registered, and this brings positive results especially in power/energy sector.  Quite rightly therewas improvement in the supply of electricity per excellent and this could be attributed to the non vanderlisationand illegal interference with electricity generation equipments and as such this gesture has to be sustained with your return.

More so, what amazed me much was the issue of some underground movements allegedly done by some bad eggs within your government which was revealed by some media outfits, the questionable behavior displayed by some of your boys was highly uncalled for, though it might be false allegations but nevertheless, in every rumour found an element of trust and therefore thorough and careful observations ought to be done to determine the good, the bad and the ugly eggs within your allies.

More importantly however,it is obvious that the effort of the vicepresident was noticeable and commendable considering how he determined to held sway your office in line with your principles and attitudes, his laudable achievements as acting president was monumental. Likewise some of your advisers have done well in enlighten and clearingmany rumours concerning your ailment.

Your Excellency, I believed it has come to your notice rightly that Nigerians were united during your vacation as good people of the country kept aside their status, religion, tribal and ethnic diversities and organises series of prayers for your speedy recovery and safe return to your fatherland. This clearly promotes unity in diversity, ensure peaceful coexistence and also pave way for economic and social development to reign in our dear country.

Finally, it is pertinent to observe the excitement, happiness and a kind of reception Nigerians gave you as a compliment of your return. I believe you have seen the gargantuan celebrations that took place in many places across the federation just to express happiness and total support to you as the president of this great nation.  This signalled thatyour acceptance cut across religious, ethnic/cultural boundaries and hence YOU are the right man to lead Nigeria as a diverse country.

Long live Mr President Sir, long live Federal Republic of Nigeria.

Da farko ina maka barka da dawowa gida Najeriya bayan tsawon kwana 49 da ka yi a Qasar Birtaniya, da fatan alkhairi kuma Allah yasa zakkar jiki ce. Bayan haka ya mai girma shugaban qasa abubuwa da dama sun faru a lokacin da baka nan, wasu daga vangaren al'umma wasu kuma daga varin gwamnati, nasan kana sane da hakan. Maganganu iri-iri sun ta yawo a cikin qasa musamman a dandali da shafukan yanar gizo wadanda ke alaka da rashin lafiyarka da zamanka a birnin Landan, wasu na maka fatan alkhairi a lokacin da wasu ke maka mugun baki. Bayan wannan kuma nayi nazari na gano cewar akwai abubuwan ban mamaki da suka afku wanda nake da shakku da alamar tambaya (?) akansu.

Ya mai girma shugaban qasa, a lokacin tafiyarka an sami faxuwar darajar dalar amurka da aqalla kashi 5 cikin 100, lamarin da ya sanya darajar Naira ta karu kuma hakan ya kawo rangwamen wahalar da dala ke jefa talakawan qasar nan. Wannan abu ne da ya kamata ka duba shi don gano taqamaiman dalilin da ya kawo hakan tunda dama abune dake cikin burinka ganin irin yadda gwamnatin ka ta damu da talakawanta.

An sami tsaiko na masu yiwa gwamnati varna, musamman masu  fasa bututun mai a wasu yankunan don hana ruwa gudu, wanda hakan ya nuna akwai lauje cikin nadi dake bukatar a warware nadin don gano abunda ke cikinsa. Haka zalika baa tava samun wata barazana ko togashiya ga Mai girma Muqaddashinka ba ta inda yakan kai ziyarar aiki duk inda yaso bagatatan ba tare da wani   kalubale daga wasu mutane a yankunan ba.

A vangaren samar da wutar lantarki Kuwa kodayake ya danganta da yanayi da kuma lokaci amma a kwanaki 49 an samar da wuta gwargwadon hali har jama'a na san barka ga gwamnati. Wataqila wannan ba zai rasa nasaba da dena fasa bututun mai dana makamashin da ake amfani dashi wajen samar da wutar ba, sai dai shima wannan abin a duba ne mai girma shugaban qasa.

Haka zalika a kowace gwamnati akan sami mutanen kirki masu son cigaban qasa da kuma vatagari wadanda a kullum sukewa gwamnati zagon qasa, maqarqashiya da kuma yin qafar ungulu ga cigaban qasa don hana aikata abubuwan da suka dace, to a tafiyar nan taka fa anyi walkiya wacce nake tunanin wataqila ta haska maka kowa, musamman ganin yadda wasu kafafen watsa labarai suka bankaxo wasu sirri game da wasu makusantan gwamnatinka, koda kuwa ba gaskiya bane to tabbas abin a duba ne tun yanzu don kada ya zama anyi fargar jaji a gaba.

Mai girma shugaban Qasa tafiyarka ta qara qarfafa haxin kan 'yan Najeriya musamman irin ximbin addu'o'in da aka gabatar a gareka, wanda gungun jama'a dabam-dabam suka hadu waje daya kama daga talakawa, masu mulki, masu sarauta, 'yan siyasa, 'yan kasuwa kuma abin sha'awar shine yadda mabiya addinai suka riqa gabartar da addu'o'i a masallatai da majami'u don samun lafiyarka. Wannan ya tabbatar da hadin kan jama'a  ya kuma qara dankon zumunci a tsakanin mabambamtan jama'ar qasar nan.

Mai girma shugaban qasa akwai bukatar sanya wakilci mai kyau a mafiya yawan ayyukan gwamnatinka don tabbatar da wanzuwarsu cikin gaskiya, tabbas kana da mataimaka da ma shawarta masu nagarta, musamman mai girma Mataimakin shugaban qasa wanda yayi matuqar kokari a lokacin da baka nan, wanda ya nuna cewar a shirye yake don tabbatar da cigaban kasa a kullum, akwai masu taimaka maka wadanda ka nada su don baka Shawara, tabbas wasunsu sunyi qoqari wajen wayarwa da jama'a Kai da kuma kwantar musu da hankali da lafazi mai dadi a kafafen watsa labarai a lokacin da baka nan. Tabbas ire-iren wadannan sune 'yan kishin qasa wadanda ya kamata ka riqe su don tallafawa tafiyarka ta sauya yanayin qasarnan.

A qarshe ina baka shawara da kai nazari mai zurfi akan dukan lamuran da suka afku bayan tafiyarka, ka gano musabbabin faruwar hakan don tabbatar da su. Ina maka fatan alkhairi da addu'ar Allah ya qara maka lafiya da karsashi ya kuma yi maka jagoranci wajen sauke nauyin da ke kanka cikin sauki da hikima.

Addini shi ne hanyar rayuwa

bisa bautar wani abun bautawa,

Haka kuma musulunci ya haramta zalinci akan kowa ba kadai sai iya mabiya addinin ba, baya halatta ga musulmi na kwarai ya cutar da wani ko wasu al'ummar da basa bin addinin ballantana kuma mabiya addinin bai daya, yin hakan ka iya jawo fushin ubangijin saboda irin zaman lafiya da masalahar da ke cike a cikin addinin na musulunci. Hakazalika a addinin kiristanci dana yahudanci, tanade tanaden addinan tun asali basu bada damar suka ko cusgunawa wasu mabiya addinan da suka sha bamban da nasu ba.

Zance na gaskiya addinin musulunci ya koyar da yin da'a, biyayya da kuma yarda da dukkan annabawa da mursalan da Allah (SWT) ya aiko su tun daga Annabi Adam (AS) har zuwa cikamakonsu kuma jagoransu Annabi Muhammad (SAW), wanda rashin  yin imani dasu ka iya ruguza musukuncin dan adam.

Tun a shekarun baya a yankin turai ake samun wasu tsagerun mutane da suka himmatu wajen cin zarafin musulmai ta hanyar rubutu ko zanen mutum mutumin don yin izgili gaAnnabin Allah don dai kawai a kuntatawa musulunci da musulmai wai suna Ikirarin 'yanci ne na magana ko kuma 'yancin yan jarida ya bada wannan damar. Ai wayewa ba hauka bace, kuma wannan lamarin duniya ta san cewar ana aiwatar dashi ne don a turawa mabiya addinin musulunci haushi duk da suna batun 'yanci to ai harda 'yancin gudanar da addini ga jama'a a fadin duniya. Duk da sanin rashin dacewar abin amma jagoranci duniya bai daukar wani kwakkwaran mataki ganin yadda abin ke ta da hankulan mabiya addinin na musulunci. To wai me ake nufi da musulmin duniya? Na farko dai ina dalilin yin wannan batancin? Shin takalar fada akeyi ko kuwa so ake a nunawa duniya musulunci ba a bakin komai yake ba?

Kamar yadda na fada a farko babu addinin da ya aminta aci zarafin wasu masu bautar daban,  to in haka ne me zai sa shuwagabannin irin wadannan sakarkarun mutanen baza su ja musu kunne ba su kuma nuna rashin a mincewarsu karara. Ni kam nayi imanin musulmin kwarai ba zai taba munzata wani ko wasu don kawai suna da banbancin addini, kai koda kuwa hakan ta faru to zakaji malaman muslunci sun fito sun soki abin. Kodayake Kalilan daga mabiya addinin kiristanci sun yi tur da ayyukan batancin, sai dai tun a shekarun baya da hakan ta faru a kasar Denmark har ila yau abun kara bayyana yake kuma wannan shine dalilin da ya tunzura wasu matasa daukar hukuncin da hannunsu. Duk da yake daukar hukunci ko doka ahannu ya saba da ka'idar musulunci amma bai kamata a bar dukan jaki a koma taiki ba, inda tun farko an dauki matakin hanasu yin irin wannan tabargazar to da hakan bata faru ba. Don kuwa a gaskiyar lamari babu addinin da zai saka ido ana masa cin kashi haka, kuma nayi imanin banda musulmai suna da hakuri da tuni fitinar ta girmama.

Da haka nake Tur da wannan cin zarafin Manzon Allah(SAW) da mujallar Charlie Hebdo dama sauran kafafen da ke aikata irin wannan badaqalar. Ina kuma jawo hankulan 'yan uwa musulmai dasu cigaba da addu'ar Allah wadai su kumayi tir da nuna damuwarsu karara. Sannan kuma shugabannin musulmai su hada kawunansu su rika magana da murya daya tak don kawar da ire iren wadannan cin zarafin da izgilanci da gangan  dole ne musulmai su kyamaci wannan badakalar su kuma sanya babbar alamar dakatarwa da zata hana cin zarafin al'ummarsu, addininsu da kuma uwa uba Annabinsu (Tsira da Amincin Allah su tabbata a gareshi). Allah ka qarawa Annabi daraja, wasila da fadila ameen.
